Apotop, a maker of creative electronics and peripherals headquartered in Taiwan, has a pretty interesting ‘multi-use mobile helper’ called the Wi-Copy.

The first of many things that this compact Wi-Copy (DW21) gadget can do is to turn itself into a wireless hotspot so that you can share an Internet connection with multiple devices simultaneously. Using its free app, you can even wirelessly transfer files between a mobile device and a USB flash drive or an SD card. Of course, data transfer between the USB flash drive and SD card is possible as well.

But that’s not all. You can use the Wi-Copy to stream up to five HD movies (content stored on the USB drive or SD card) simultaneously to multiple iOS and Android devices using the free app. And in case your mobile device’s battery is running low, you can top it up with the Wi-Copy’s built-in 5,200mAh battery (yes, it’s also a power bank). According to Apotop, its battery is able to recharge an iPhone two times.

The Apotop Wi-Copy has a list price of US$89.99 on Amazon. But in the last tech show, we’ve seen it sold here for as low as S$69.
