Angry Birds Toons Animated Series to Premiere on 16 March
No one could predict that a game about angry fowl and greedy swine from a Finnish video game developer would make it big. But Angry Birds has proved to be a world-wide smash hit, with plush toys and a licensed series of board games under its belt. Now the ridiculously popular franchise is now set to move into cartoon territory, albeit a web-based one.
Rovio's official blog has revealed that the Angry Birds Toons animated series will debut on 16 March and reveal interesting nuggets of information about the series such as why the King Pig is the King Pig. A new episode will be released every week, though Rovio did not mention how long the series will last.
