In late August, Amped Wireless introduced its Wi-Fi range extender, the first in the industry to be available with 802.11ac technology. Now, the company is announcing its APA20 High Power 700mW Dual Band AC Access Point.
A 802.11ac Wi-Fi access point designed to deliver powerful, long range, ultra-fast wireless access for existing home and business networks, the APA20 features three high gain, 5dBi antennas and ten total high power amplifiers. The amplifiers include two 2.4GHz 700mW amplifiers, four 5.0GHz 700mW, 2-Stage amplifiers, and four advanced, low noise amplifiers. The cutting-edge technology packed into the APA20 gives it the ability to stream high-quality media at faster speeds to multiple devices at once, with ease.
With an updated UI, it incorporates premium software features such as guest networks, adjustable Wi-Fi coverage control, and user access control. It includes a USB port for file sharing and five gigabit wired ports for connecting to a broadband network and attaching additional wired devices.
Advanced software allows the APA20 to automatically configure itself to a network’s settings without the user’s input or configuration. The APA20 simply connects to the router’s network port, automatically configures itself and creates a new wireless and wired network for connecting wired or wireless computers, printers and other networked devices.
All Amped Wireless products include Wi-Fi Analytic Tool Apps that provide advanced software application for Android and Windows devices in order to assist in analyzing and optimizing Wi-Fi networks for maximum speed and coverage. All Amped Wireless products are backed by US based, in-house technical support provided by Amped Concierges.
Priced at US$189.99, the APA20 is available for pre-order from the Amped Wireless store and will ship to customers on 29th October. It will hit retailers in early November.
