Singapore, July 5, 2010 - Altec Lansing introduced the latest member of its computer speaker line - the Octane 7 (VS4621) 2.1 speaker system.
Replacing the popular VS4121 series, the Octane 7 is geared for computer and laptop sound in addition to being able to connect to CD, DVD and MP3 players. The new system is tuned for music, movies and gaming sound with a powerful subwoofer, down-firing 3" mid-range and dual 1" micro-drivers.
The Octane 7 features unique down-firing mid-range drivers which blast the sound waves down onto a hard surface, where they are reflected and evenly distributed throughout the room for well balanced sound. Altec packed this exceptional sound dispersion into a small footprint with contemporary design.
"With digital media playing a bigger role in our daily lives, we designed this compact computer speaker with a wide range of users in mind," stated Don Milks, director of product management at Altec Lansing. "The implementation of the down-firing drivers combined with a compact design delivers a well balanced sound regardless of what type of music, game or movie is being viewed."
The Octane 7's powerful bass is provided by its 6 1/2 "Altec Lansing custom designed subwoofer. Experience explosions, kick drums or thunder the way they were intended to sound with Altec's musician-tuned technology.
The Altec Lansing Octane 7 (VS4621) is now available at major IT retail stores in Funan Digital Life Mall and sim Lim Square with an RRP of S$129.
