Aftershock creates waves, announces new S-series notebook and desktop line

Aftershock, the local company that specializes in hardcore gaming notebooks, is expanding their arsenal with a new lineup of extreme performance notebook and two new desktops. Just recently announced, the new models are as customizable as previous machines from the company and can be equipped in the very latest computing hardware.

The S-17 notebook is the next model in the Aftershock's revered S series. Like the recently previewed S-15, the new S-17 comes in a variety of configurations, utilizing either a GeForce GTX 970M or 980M.

The S-17 features a 17.3-inch screen with a lightweight full-body aluminum chassis. Its keyboard is fully macro capable, meaning you can customize any of the keys on it to your liking. Also customizable will be the RAM and storage, going up to 32GB for RAM and 4TB of storage, for M.2 PCIe-based SSDs. Prices for the S-17 start at S$2,099.

Like all of Aftershock's notebooks, there's a wide range of options to customize the S-17 to your liking and budget.

Not content on their plan to dominate the portable notebook market, Aftershock has also set its sights on the desktop market as well. Their first foray into the desktop scene, Aftershock hopes to make an impact with the release of their two new desktop models, the Tremor and the Hypergate.

The Tremor will be Aftershock's  premier gaming machine. It comes in a mini-ITX chassis that can also be equipped with a GeForce GTX 970. The Hypergate on the other hand is clearly geared towards the more hardcore, with a mid-tower chassis that's great for massive storage options and multiple GPUs.

As per the norm, the two desktops can also be customized, with a range of water cooling and custom lighting options to further personalize the look of the machines. That's also similarly applied to the hardware components. Aftershock's customization options start at S$1,299, which comes with a 3.3GHz quad-core Intel Core i5-4590 CPU and an AMD Radeon R9 270. Available options for upgrades include Core i7 processors as well as NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 980 cards.

The Tremor's Aftershock's ITX desktop entry, effectively proving that size doesn't matter.

The Hypergate on the other hand, is a hulking behemoth. Fully tricked out, it's a beast of a machine that can chew up anything you throw at it... and come back for seconds.

All of the machines are already available and you can place your order anytime you want. Just head over to Aftershock's site for the full rundown and more in-depth customization options.
