Chinese phone maker Oppo just announced the Mirror 3, a new smartphone targeted at the mass market segment. Available from mid May at Oppo Concept Store at Suntec City Mall, Tower 3, the Mirror 3 has a retail price of S$349. Students can enjoy a discount of S$20 when they purchase the handset.
The Oppo Mirror 3 runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core 1.2GHz processor, 1GB RAM, ColorOS 2.1 based on Android 4.4 KitKat and a 2,000mAh battery. Despite its entry-level price tag, the Mirror 3 smartphone boasts some decent features.
Like its higher-end flagship siblings, the Mirror 3 comes with fast charging technology. Dubbed Fast-Charge, the "lite" cousin of the VOOC Rapid Charge can fully recharge the battery of the Mirror 3 in just 90 minutes. It also sports a 4.7-inch HD (1,280 x 720 pixels) IPS LCD display and comes with 8GB internal storage space. Those who need more storage space will be glad to know that the Mirror 3 has a microSD memory card expansion slot that supports cards of up to 128GB in capacity.
The Mirror 3 also supports dual-SIM cards, both of which are LTE-compatible. It is also equipped with an 8-megapixel Sony IMX179 BSI rear camera with a sensor size of 1/3.2-inches and 1.4μm pixel size. Oppo's proprietary imaging technology, Pure Image 2.0+ is also preloaded on the Mirror 3.
Other specs include dimensions of 137 x 68 x 8.95mm, weight of 126g, a front-facing 5-megapixel camera, and color options of white and blue.
