The MSI 990FXA-GD80 is based on AMD 990FX and SB950 chipsets, designed for AM3+/AM3 Socket processors supporting up to 8 native CPU cores. It supports both NVIDIA SLI and ATI CrossFireX technologies. MSI has also outfitted it with military-class components like hi-c caps with tantalum cores for longer lifespan.
