New keyboard app Fleksy claims to have an autocorrect system that is so accurate that even blind users can type fast and accurately. Extreme mobile typists can even type without the keyboard being visible for maximum convenience.

Dropbox recently gave a preview on what to expect from its service in 2013. The new features shown, will place emphasis on how a user's content will be displayed instead. This signals Dropbox's desire of being more than just a storage locker in the cloud.

Microsoft has just announced the general availability of its new Office suite of productivity software. Besides buying a copy of the new Office for your PC, you can also get Office via a subscription plan. Two such plans for consumers are announced today: Office 365 Home Premium and Office 365 University.

Microsoft has announced that the SkyDrive app from the Windows Store will start showing notifications on the live tile as you add new files to your SkyDrive. Hopefully, more features like offline sync for Windows RT will come soon.

Google has been adding offline capabilities to their web office suite, and the latest to get this much needed feature is Google Slides. Now users can create, edit and present Google Slides presentations without the need for an Internet connection.

Not only is Java notoriously insecure, it seems that Oracle is packing third-party apps to install alongside with Java and its updates. Ed Bott of Zdnet has unearthed that third-party software is always included with Java's automatic updater for Windows, specifically the Ask Toolbar and McAfee Security Scanner.
Cash-rich Microsoft is said to be in talks to help take Dell private, and might invest up to $3 billion to do so.
