Google is ceasing development in its Quickoffice smartphone app now that it has released Google Docs and Google Sheets. It is also terminating its Orkut social network for its more popular brothers YouTube, Blogger and Google+.
An update to the iTunes U app will provide new tools and functionalities for educators to create and manage courses directly on the iPad; students will also be able to participate in discussions and ask their teachers questions without having to exit the app.
