After the announcement of SteamOS, Valve has revealed their plans for hardware. Partnering up with different manufacturers, Valve plans on releasing multiple machines running SteamOS in early 2014.
AMD revs up its gears and introduces a new API (codenamed Mantle) that taps into its GPU architecture to help game developers get the best out of the GPU.

Following a North American and European launch in November, Sony's Playstation 4 will be launching in Singapore and other South East Asian countries in the middle of December 2013. Unfortunately, no pricing or specific date was announced. 20 game titles will accompany the launch.

Blizzard has announced that it will be shutting down both the gold and real money auction houses in Diablo III on 18th March 2014. Blizzard's John Hight explained that the Auction House "ultimately undermines Diablo's core game play: kill monsters to get cool loot."
