I don't know why the review said there is focusing problem with this camera. I have been using it for a month now and I have never had focusing issue.

However, there is something dumb - 40mm is an odd dimension which you cannot find a UV filter for protection easily. So for protection, I bought the original Fuji hood, which comes with the converter to 52mm, thinking that the original design by Fuji must have taken everything into consideration. Sorry, no.
1. although the hood does provide good protection against accidental bumping on the lens, its big size is actually blocking the viewfinder quite significantly when in wide angle. Well, wide angle has significant parallax anyway, so you might just use the the LCD. Fine. But;
2. the hood is actually blocking the flash as well !! This is something not acceptable. So, remember to take off the hood when you use flash, esp in wide angle mood. Dump, right ?

So, I recommend users just buy a 3rd party 40-52mm converter to put on a UV filter for protection.

After all, it is a superb camera which I like so much that I have been carrying it almost everyday in my bag since I bought it.
