MasterCard coupons, an AC5300 router, and a nifty "power crane King Kong!" - here are some deals from Qoo10 today. Let's go!
1.) Free S$40 Qoo10 coupons with MasterCard
Are you a MasterCard holder? Do you know that till end of 2016, you can receive S$40 worth of coupons to spend on Qoo10 every month when you register at www.qoo10.sg/mastercard? The coupons expire the end of each month, but can be renewed every Wednesday, 2pm through the same link. As such, the best time to grab the coupons is the start of each month - you know, like now. Terms and conditions do apply though; for example, it's limited to one download per month, and you can’t use the MC coupons with Qpoints.
2.) ASUS RT-AC5300 gigabit router
The ASUS RT-AC5300 is a tri-band wireless AC5300 router with four gigabit Ethernet LAN ports. Its Broadcom NitroQAM technology boosts two 5GHz data rates up to 4,334 Mbps and 2.4GHz speeds up to 1,000 Mbps, and it sports AiProtection with Trend Micro, along with a bevy of parental and privacy controls. It has a sticker price of S$469, but its street price (be it during tech shows or on online marketplaces) typically hovers between S$420 and S$450. On Qoo10, there’s a shop that has it going for S$399 (with 3 years local warranty), and as of this writing, there are 5 units left.
You can read our review of the ASUS RT-AC5300 here.
3.) "Power Crane King Kong!"
All year round, many seriously heavy items pass through the HardwareZone lab doors, so much so that I’m looking for something more effective than mere trolleys.
On Qoo10, there’s this Japan-made “power crane” that’s supposedly designed for moving bulky and heavy items, like sofas and fridges. And it’s said to be able to withstand up to 1,200kg (that’s 1.2 ton!). Basically, the package comes with a “pedestal” to jack up the heavy item, before you place the “power crane” discs with roller wheels underneath it. There's a Korean video on Qoo10 you can check out if you need more convincing.
This King King Power Crane is going for S$82.90 at the moment and ships from South Korea.
So, #BBBMTL and #dontsaybojio.
