'Tres' Cool Offerings from Cooler Master

Practical Casings for a New Era

To complement the slew of mini-ITX motherboards on offer, Cooler Master offers its Elite 120, a high-end ITX casing. It made its first appearance in CeBIT 2012 and it does remind us of the Cubitek Mini-Tank somewhat; however, Cooler Master has opted for a cleaner look for the Elite 120.

The Elite 120 can be fitted with a dual-slot graphics card like the AMD Radeon HD 6970 graphics card.

With its top removed, we see an ATX PSU installed that is the Cooler Master Elite Pro Platinum 550W (rated 80 Plus Platinum).

Cooler Master also showcased its new Silencio 650, an updated and high-end answer to its earlier Silencio 550 chassis.

The Cooler Master Silencio 650, a high-end chassis with silence in mind due to its sound-dampening features.

The internal features of the Silencio 650 look similar to the 550, noticed that the detached side panel with the sound-dampening sponge.

On the left, there is a fan control switch to control the fan speeds while the switch to the right is one to toggle between HDDs. It also features two pairs of USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports.

There is a cover that slides back to review a vent for an additional rear fan.

With the dust filter panel removed, we can see the pair of cooling fans. There is also sound dampening material on its front cover.
