In the Stars with Samsung Galaxy S II and Tab 10.1
Aligned with the Planets
First glimpsed at the Samsung Unpacked event at MWC 2011, both the Samsung Galaxy S II and the Galaxy Tab 10.1 will finally arrive on our shores...soon. They are both a little different from the last time we saw them in the flesh (the latter boasting of physical changes; the former gets a hardware upgrade and exclusive software tie-ups), but let's not dwell too much in the past. Nonetheless, if you do want to check our past coverage out, do click here. Otherwise, check out our coverage below:
Samsung Galaxy S II
The Samsung Galaxy S II has shown itself as a worth successor to the earlier Samsung Galaxy S for a few reasons: a dual-core processor, which got bumped up to 1.2GHz, a thinner profile at 8.49mm from its original 9.9mm and most importantly, an improved Super AMOLED Plus, offering 50% more sub-pixels, thus improving its overall quality. Beyond its hardware improvements, the Galaxy S II will also be preloaded with a variety of apps exclusive to this dual-core smartphone.
And for those who wish to purchase the Galaxy S II, we have some good news. Unlike its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy S II won't be tied exclusively to a specific telco and will be available from June 2011 onwards.

For those anxious to try out the tablet, you can swing by Samsung's store at Vivocity - prototype units will be displayed there for a short period of time for walk-in customers. While the product will not be on sale during the upcoming PC Show, Samsung has made mention that units will be displayed throughout partner booths at the event itself for attendees to take a swing at it. The white version will officially come to Singapore in July, but as to which version - 3G or WiFi -, tablets enthusiasts have to wait for a while longer for the updates.
