Desktops

If you're looking for a new gaming rig to get the most out of the season's biggest blockbusters (did anyone say Skyrim, Battlefield 3 or Modern Warfare 3?) this is where you need to start. While notebooks may be portable and light, nothing can beat the sheer power of an overclocked desktop. Alternatively, maybe you're after a space saving, compact system? An all-in-one machine might be just what you're looking for.

Acer - Hall 6, Booth 6D10

Aspire G3610 (i25MR81T)

This gaming rig from Acer hits the sweet spot of just below one and a half grand and it features an Intel Core i5-2500 CPU. With a discrete NVIDIA GeForce GT 530 2GB card and a bundled 23-inch full HD LED LCD display, this rig is targeted at the casual gamer who is looking for a system that can be upgradable as his gaming demands increase in the future. Styled well and practically, the innards are totally self-upgradeable should you wish to invest in a more powerful graphics card, or any other component in the near future. The machine would also be ideal if you're shopping for an affordable gaming-oriented machine for children without spending too much for really powerful machines.
