Price Comparison Analysis

The contract prices for the Samsung Galaxy S III is similar across the three telcos, making it a tougher decision to make. Generally, the HTC One X costs S$30 lesser than the Samsung Galaxy S III with a two-year contract (with the exception of M1's ExtremeSurf plan).

By paying S$30 more, you get the Samsung Galaxy S III with a better battery life, superior processing performance, a slightly bigger screen and the a microSD card slot. To be frank, it sounds like a sweet deal for most consumers unless you prefer the industrial design of the HTC One X which some may feel is more aesthetically pleasing.

If you are a first time smartphone buyer and are also considering the Apple iPhone 4S, the fruity phone is priced quite competitively with the Droids. It is still one of the best designed smartphones in the market with its eye-popping Retina display, smooth performance and excellent imaging quality. However, the choice here is not just about the phone hardware, but it's OS ecosystem too. To better decide what each OS ecosystem has to offer (iOS 5, Android 4.0 and Windows Phone 7.5) and how they match up, we've a dedicated article to help choose your platform of choice.
