Carving a niche among the price conscious smartphone consumer

As we reported earlier, LG has just carved a niche to cater towards audience who’ve an eye for design, but without the appetite for a big price tag. Naturally it won’t be racing ahead in benchmarks and its target audience wouldn’t care less. Instead, the new LG K10 and K7 are set to impress by design with a strong focus on camera capabilities and user experience.

You’ll find more details and basic specs in our news piece, but we also managed to get up-close with them, so here’s a quick photo spread.

Remember, LG says the phone takes on a glossy pebble design concept. Our very first handling experience is a positive one and we can conclusively say that both phones are very light and easy to handle thanks to the comfortable screen size and dimensions. The 2.5D glass front gently curves towards the side to seamlessly meet with the frame. But without any buttons, the sides are really thin and it kind of gives you the feel that the phone sports a uni-body design. With removable back covers, both phones have easy access to swap/service the battery if required. Speaking of the back cover, we kind of preferred the K7’s textured back over the glossy finish on the K10’s rear, but that’s just us.
