Testing the TZ15 in Grand Canyon & Las Vegas

We've assembled a few test shots from our flight over the Grand Canyon and visit to the Las Vegas Speedway as a glimpse of the new iA mode in action. Colors generally appeared more vivid than the previous generations of Lumix cameras mainly because of its upgraded Venus IV imaging engine.

The Intelligent Exposure portion of the TZ15's iA mode gives a nice balance of the bright blue sky and the dark interior of the chopper.

A shot of the Hoover Dam approaching in the distance.

With the 10x optical zoom, getting up close to our subject was easier than most compacts.

A view of the canyon from halfway down. While the camera tended to over saturate images a tad, colors remained accurate.

Panning is a skill normally reserved for DSLR enthusiasts. The TZ15 does a decent job of it though with a wide selection of scene modes. We shot this one on Sport mode.
