LG Unveils 8-Megapixel Glory - The LG KC910 Renoir

For those who are familiar with the 8-megapixel camera phone race, the LG KC910 Renoir should hardly be a stranger to you and it should be coming to our shores real soon. During the recent launch event, the Renoir was unveiled to the media and was presented as a device that captures your moments without compromising on your baggage.

Touted as the slimmest 8-megapixel camera phone to date, the Renoir also comes with a strong suite of connectivity options, such as Wi-Fi, HSDPA, GPS with A-GPS and also Bluetooth 2.0 for data transfers. But beyond all the standard connection choices, LG has also positioned the Renoir as a multimedia device that is ready to entertain on the go. As such, we see the introduction of the Dolby Mobile audio engine on the Renoir, which might actually be the show stealer as we have experienced in our earlier review. Furthermore, LG makes a wise move (as most other manufacturers are) in providing customization to its interface. An example of that is the Widget feature that lets you drag and drop widgets that gives you direct access to stuff that matter to you the most, e.g. Calendar, Calls, Music etc.

Introducing the LG KC910 Renoir, an 8-megapixel camera phone that comes with Wi-Fi, HSDPA, A-GPS and for a first in mobile devices, Dolby Mobile.

To demonstrate its claim as the world's slimmest 8-megapixel camera phone, LG slotted the Renoir into the back pocket of a pair of jeans which didn't reveal the bulge of a phone.

The LG models were on site to talk about the device's features, and of course, gave us the customary pose for our readers to enjoy.
