Interesting Sights from Mobile World Congress 2012

Mobile World Congress has always been the place to be if you're looking for the best and latest mobile technology in town. Needless to say, it has been an interesting week for us. And if you need to catch up on the latest news from MWC 2012, we have a handy round-up for your perusal.

But it's not just about smartphones, tablets or even mobile technology. In the halls of Fira de Barcelona, we had a glimpse at some interesting and somewhat tech-related items. We've compiled a photo gallery on our Facebook page, which should set you chuckling at some of the quirkier items seen at the annual event. Nevertheless, some particular items did stand out and caught our attention. Here are the interesting sights, from this year's Mobile World Congress.

Fly, Pegasus, fly! And if you look closely, you'll notice that this Pegasus statue is made entirely from Huawei smartphones.

What's this? Is that an Ice Cream Sandwich phone within?

Why, it's an actual ice cream sandwich! This dessert managed to keep our hunger in check while we roamed the halls within Fira de Barcelona.

And the Android pins make another appearance at Mobile World Congress. Got to catch them all!

An actual Android robot. And right beside it, we have...

...his minions, ready to listen to their Android overlord!

Nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah, Batman! And Batgirl too. This isn't the first time we saw super heroes at a trade show. We also spotted Superman and Wonder Woman at CES 2012.

Stilt walkers, braving the cold along the avenues connecting the various halls at Fira de Barcelona.

When the night, has come. And the land is dark. We see pretty lights all over the venue. And that wraps up another Mobile World Congress!
