HWZ Deal Alert: 23rd December 2015

Got deal, got talk! GDGT! =)

Two days before Christmas and I’m still shopping presents…for myself. Two tips for last-minute gifting: one, buy online so that you don’t need to jostle with the crowd; two, buy digital goods, like apps, so that there’s no waiting time.

1.) App Santa iOS and Mac indie developers sale

Brought to you by @realmacsoftware and friends, App Santa is now featuring a slew of discounted iOS and Mac apps, with savings of up to 80%. In fact, most of my frequently used apps like PCalc, Day One, Deliveries, Scanner Pro, Soulver, PDF Expert, Launch Center Pro, TextExpander Touch, Tweetbot for Mac, Screens, and Drafts 4 are on the list.

2.) US$8/month Adobe Creative Cloud Photography plan

Adobe Creative Cloud Photography plan, which consists of Photoshop CC and Lightroom CC, typically costs US$10 per month, or S$13 per month. Over at Amazon, it’s now going for US$8 per month. Because when it comes to subscription plans, every dollar counts.

3.) Up to 40% off CreativeLive classes

We’ve recommend this before, but in case you missed it, CreativeLive is still having a sale on all its classes, with saving of up to 40%. Do check it out if you’re keen to up your photography, videography, art, design, music, and life skills. Have a new you in 2016.

4.) Free holiday themes for SwiftKey

If you’re an Android user and use the SwiftKey keyboard, know that it’s now giving away two holiday themes (Winter Night and Frosted Winter Night), just in time for Christmas. The ‘Everything MegaPack’ is also going for US$9, down from the usual US$30.

5.) Anker PowerCore 10,400mAh power bank

I’m a fan of Anker power banks, and I usually get them from Amazon. Lazada, which is having its own Christmas sale now, also carries some Anker power banks; and among them, the basic PowerCore 10,400mAh is decently priced at S$29.80 (excluding delivery). Equipped with PowerIQ and VoltageBoost tech, each of the power bank’s two ports is capable of 2.4A, or 3A total if both are used at the same time.
