Teaser Alert - Xacti series on display!

First up, the event coverage; you'll find the new Sanyo products on the next page.

Mr Yoshinori Nakatani, Chief Regional Officer (Asia Pacific) and Managing Director of Sanyo Asia, starting the series of talks with a brief welcome address, while highlighting Sanyo's intention to shift from producing low-end cameras to high-end dual use cameras/camcorders.

Taking the media by surprise, the models strutted down the aisle in the middle of the hall after a rather serious introduction with the new Xacti products in hand.

Next up, Mr Hiroshi Fuji, Product Manager of SANYO got up on stage to introduce the new Xacti series and their features, as well as elaborate on the promising market niche for dual cameras.

Last but not least, Mr Vishinu Metharam, Director of Emjay Enterprises Pte Ltd and Emjay Enterprises Sdn Bhd, both of which will be sole distributors for the Xacti series, spoke about their marketing strategy and sales distribution for the products.

At the short media Q and A, the panel revealed Sanyo's plan to diversify beyond Singapore and Malaysia and eventually make the Xacti products available in both Philippines and Thailand.
