A Flurry of Printers - Lexmark Printer Launch Event
Printers @ Work
Printers @ Work
Braving the haze and scorching hot sun commonly associated this time of the year in the South East Asia region, we made our way to Lexmark's printer launch event held last Thursday at The Glass Hall at the Singapore Art Museum. With more than 20 new printers in their new lineup, we can certainly see why the launch was dubbed by Lexmark as their largest and widest this year.
Aimed primarily for work use, Lexmark's extensive selection of new products has features and technology that aims to cater to workgroups of all sizes (from small offices to large departmental workgroups) to help boost productivity, save paper and money. Features such as duplex printing and scanning, direct printing from USB, wireless connectivity, and high capacity cartridges can be found on Lexmark's new workgroup printers.
Also noteworthy is Lexmark's e-Task Interface. It is a touchscreen interface that provides quick and easy access to the printer's functions. What's more, we were also told that the screen can be customized to suit an office's or department's needs - you can add your company's logo, edit the icons, or even disable copy functions to cut down on paper among others.
Lexmark's new lineup includes single and multi-function, monochrome and color printers, so there's bound to be something for everyone. And with so many printers on show, here are the some highlights from the event.
The X360 series is geared for small offices and workgroups and has features like duplex printing and scanning.
The X460 series is meant for medium sized workgroups and differs from the X360 with its superior print capacity, print speed and the e-Task Interface.
Th X656 family is a further step up from the X460 and is specially designed for large workgroups.
Lexmark had a couple of inkjet printers on display too. This is the top-of-the-line X7675.
