The Duel of the Eee PCs: S101 vs 1000H

Oh Thoust Eee: What Has Thy Branding Done to Thee?

Although the netbook market is still in its infancy (though growing really fast), the Eee PC branding has gone from cool to overly confusing in that short span of time. With the shenanigans that ASUS has been pulling lately with the sheer number of new models being released, we had the nasty feeling that they were trying to turn the Eee branding for all their products (which luckily wasn't so). Furthermore, it didn't help their cause when they started packing in older, unsold Celeron D chips into some of the "newer" models for what we suspect are maneuvers to clear the older stock.

Thankfully, ASUS has somewhat redeemed itself with the introduction of the Eee PC S101, and we'll be taking a look at this lightweight netbook together with the Eee PC 1000H, which in our opinion, was really the last Eee PC netbook that was in the spirit of the Eee branding before the abovementioned happened. So, with both units sharing pretty much the same hardware (with one or two exceptions) but differing mainly in both size and price, which will be the unit that ends up getting your soon-to-be year end bonus?
