App Attack #006: iPad Gaming Edition

If you're tired of playing games on your tiny iPhone screen (or simply just making sure you don't want to kill your phone's battery), then it's time to bust out that iPad and get some gaming time on your tablet. Some of these apps are also universal, which means if you don't have an iPad, you can still play it on your iPhone. Which means we sorta kill two Angry Birds with one Pig. Oh wait.

World of Goo

Price: US$4.99
Category: Games
The award winning indie game makes its way to the iPad and well, if you haven't yet played this game, do yourself a favor and fork out the cash. It's a physics puzzler, so if you're a fan of the genre, this is one game you don't want to miss.

Battleheart (Universal)

Price: US$2.99
Category: Games
This game is a bargain for its price, given that it will probably give you endless hours of fun if you happen to like RPG and RTS games. You command a squad of four different classes to take on waves of monsters and boss mobs, and hunting down loot to make your squad much stronger. Think Final Fantasy Tactics meet World of Warcraft meet Diablo and you get the idea. Oh, did we mention this app is universal too? This means you can play this on your iPhone too!

MovieCat! HD

Price: US$2.99
Category: Games
Think you're pretty good at movie trivia? Then feel free to pit your knowledge in this insanely fun movie trivia game. Challenge your friend to a 1 on 1 battle to see just who will emerge as the MovieCat! king of movie trivia!

Infinity Field

Price: US$1.99
Category: Games
Infinity Field gives you quite your money's worth in graphics, weapons and fun. Collect power ups, dodge bullets and kill everything on screen in this retro inspired Geometry Wars style graphics of a dual-stick space shooter. You'll have a blast playing this (pun intended).

Three Kingdoms TD - Legend of Shu HD

Price: US$3.99
Category: Games
The game name's quite a mouthful but Three Kingdoms TD is a Tower Defense game set in the Romance of Three Kingdom's era. Besides the usual tower defence mechanics of killing units who make their way down a path, you also get to play using famous heroes like Liu Bei, Guan Yu and Zhang Fei who level up with you and can equip items. Decent fun especially if you like the TD genre.
