06 Feb 2012, 11:21Hi flutexian, not sure about that. It may be due to the auto-cleaning process, once in a while your printer will shoot ink through the nozzles to clear them out so your inks won't clog. If it's a big problem maybe you need to send it back for a check.

06 Feb 2012, 11:20Hi benyee90, as long as there are no dedicated black and gray inks, shades of black will always be rendered using a combination of the three colors in your inkjet. That's why some people will prefer buying printers with gray inks for more accurate black and white prints - it also means costs will go up!
