Microsoft has officially detailed what's new in the upcoming Windows Phone 8 GDR3 update. The third and last update of 2013 will bring support for larger and higher-res screens, quad-core processors, as well as a handful of features such as Driving mode, improved Internet Sharing, and screen rotation lock. It has been revealed recently that Microsoft is working on unifying its Windows Phone Store and Windows Store into a single store that caters to all devices. The updated store is also said to debut when Windows Phone 8.1 and a special Windows 8.1 update are ready for launch in the second quarter of 2014.
In addition to their iPad buyback program, Microsoft will now also offer customers US$200 for their iPhone 4S or iPhone 5 at select retail stores in the U.S. and Canada.

Google announced today, that Google Play Books for Android, iOS and web, is now available in Singapore. Famous Singaporean books like Riot Green and Conversations with Lee Kuan Yew can now be bought and downloaded from the Google Play Store.
To say that Windows RT has underperformed would be an understatement. Following the discontinuation of the XPS 10, it seems that Dell has joined other tablet makers in ditching Windows RT.
