HP Slate 7 to Arrive in Singapore on June 6
HP's first Android product, the Slate 7 tablet, will be available in Singapore from June 6th. First announced at MWC 2013 in February, the Slate 7 is powered by an ARM Dual Core Cortex-A9 1.6 GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage and a 7" FFS+LCD display with a resolution of 1024 x 600.

MobileCover Launches Mobile Insurance in Singapore
Irish mobile insurance website MobileCover has just launched in Singapore, and will now be offering insurance coverage on mobile devices (phones and tablets). Insured devices that have been lost, stolen, accidentally damaged or in need of replacement will be replaced or repaired and sent to the customer's doorstep.

Android has Largest Smart Device Market Share
According a Q1, 2013 report by Canalys, 59.5 percent of all smart devices in the market -- 308.7 million smartphones, tablets and notebooks -- were running Google's Android operating system. Apple was in second place with a 19.3 percent market share and Microsoft had a market share of 18.1, just slightly behind Apple.
