Google to Drop Support for Microsoft's Exchange ActiveSync (Update 2: Extended Till Dec 31, 2013 for Windows Phone)
Come January 30th 2013, Google will be dropping consumer support for Microsoft's Exchange ActiveSync protocol for new devices. Chalk up another casualty of the mobile wars. (Update: EAS support is extended to December 31, 2013 for Windows Phone.)

Microsoft has announced the availability of Windows 8.1 Enterprise Preview. This edition includes premium features for enterprise users that aren't found in the earlier Windows 8.1 Preview.
Facebook has just announced Facebook Mobile Publishing, a pilot program aimed at helping small to medium game developers take their products global. Facebook will responsible for utilizing its sizable reach and resources to help promote and market these games, in exchange for a cut of the profits.
ASUS CEO, Jonney Shih, noted the poor reception of Windows RT products and has said that the Taiwanese tech giants will focus on Windows products with Intel chips.

Building on the Google Play Games Services first announced at Google I/O back in May, today Google launched its Google Play Games Android App, a new app for social gaming that brings some of the features of Apple’s Game Center to Android smartphones and tablets.
Along with the brand new Google Nexus 7 tablet, Google also took the opportunity to unveil Android 4.3 -- an upgrade to Jelly Bean that brings with it a few new features like Bluetooth Smart support (Bluetooth Low-Energy) and restricted profiles.

Google has recently updated Gmail, giving the compose window the ability to go full-screen. This much requested feature will be rolling out to users in the next few days.
