Google has released a companion app for Android users on Google Play for its upcoming I/O 2012 event, allowing users to sync events/sessions with their calendar, and better follow and participate in #io2012 discussions on Google+.
An industry analyst for CCS Insight claimed in his tweets that Huawei will be launching its first Windows Phone, Huawei Ascend W1, in Q4 2012. The device will be available globally in Q1 2013.
It's (almost) official that the next iteration of the Android mobile operating system is named Jelly Bean. The Samsung Galaxy Nexus will be the first device to be powered by Jelly Bean.

Nokia Maps is rumored to be replacing Bing Maps in all Windows Phone devices and will come with 3D navigation and hardware acceleration.
As part of the company's plan to restructure itself, Nokia just announced that it aims to cut 10,000 positions by the end of 2013. It also lowered its outlook for the third quarter this year.
