Acting on the recommendation of its Co-Chief Executive Officers, the Board of Directors of BlackBerry maker Research In Motion (RIM) has unanimously named Thorsten Heins as President and Chief Executive Officer. Mike Lazaridis is now Vice Chair of RIM's Board and Chair of the Board's new Innovation Committee, while Jim Balsillie remains a member of the Board.

It's official. M1 will be offering a non-camera version of Apple's iPhone 4S and iPhone 4. Prices for the modified iPhones will be slightly higher, and its warranty will be covered by a third party vendor instead of Apple.

A new shopping app by the name of MobiSinga highlights deals, discounts and promotions within your smartphone's GPS range. Both consumers and merchants are promised various benefits, with the latter having the freedom to customize and update their deals through a web app, onto the iOS or Android app.
