LG today announced the global debut of the Optimus L9, an Android 4.0 smartphone running on a 1GHz dual-core processor and sports a 4.7-inch IPS display. It also has new software such as the QTranslator and My Style Keypad.

Acquired by Google in September, Snapseed, a popular photo-editing app, is now finally available for download on Google Play for free. Likewise, the iOS version of the app is also free for now (originally US$4.99), but has also been updated to include Google+ integration and some new filters.
Huawei has just confirmed that it is working on "an oversized" Ascend Mate smartphone, one that's positioned to be Samsung's Galaxy Note II competitor. The device has been alleged to come with a huge 6.1-inch full HD 1080p display while running a 1.8GHz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM.

Samsung is currently seeding the Android 4.1.2 update, which includes the Multi-View multi-tasking feature, over-the-air for its popular S III device, with Poland being the first country to receive it.
HTC is rumored to be releasing a 5-inch flagship model in Q1 2013 ahead of its rivals. A NVIDIA Tegra 4-equipped device is also said to be in the works.
The Android app for Dropbox gets updated to version 2.2.2, which includes the ability to manage your files in addition to the usual bug fixes and performance boost.
