Sony has just announced its intention to sell its PC business. The still-bleeding TV business is safe for now, but the company will split it out and make it a wholly-owned subsidiary.

Intel has officially shut down its Web TV initiative that was first announced in January 2013. However, it may find a new lease of life with its sale to Verizon, and the deal is expected to be completed by the first quarter of this year.
Royal Philips is transferring its remaining 30% stake in television joint-venture TP Vision to TPV technology, a fully-owned subsidiary of TPV Technology, to concentrate on its Healthcare, Consumer Lifestyle, and Lighting sectors.

Not willing to be outdone by Samsung’s bendable 4K LED TV, LG at CES 2014 is also showing off its very own flexible OLED 4K TV.
The updates from CES 2014 keep streaming in. Sony has unveiled three new 4K televisions that add to the already large list of products announced.
Toshiba has unveiled their new range of televisions at CES 2014. The 4K TVs on offer range from an 84-inch behemoth to a 50-inch model. In addition there are also a number of HD screens that users can look forward to in the coming months.
At CES 2014, Panasonic and Mozilla have partnered up to make televisions smarter. Mozilla will be developing a new version of their Firefox OS which will be implemented by Panasonic in their next generation of smart televisions.
At CES 2014 today, Samsung expanded its TV line-up by unveiling its latest range of curved UHD TVs, including the world's first and largest curved-screen UHD TV at 105-inches wide.
Panasonic's Plasma TV business may be dead, but according to Panasonic Consumer Electronics President, Julie Bauer, that doesn't mean Plasma-quality TVs are dead. The company unveiled a new 4K TV at CES 2014 today, which Bauer claims will deliver "plasma level quality with LED technology."
