Quantum Internet in Use at Los Alamos National Labs for over Two Years
Scientists at the Los Alamos National Laboratory in the United States, claimed that they have been using a quantum internet for the last two and a half years. Their version of such a network involves a hub-and-spoke layout where a central hub is responsible of interlinking quantum networks.

Researchers Unveil Hollow Optics Cable with Near-Light Speed Data Transfer
Researchers at the University of Southampton in England have reportedly created a hollow optical fiber cable, with a vacuous center, which is then able to transmit data at 73.7 terabits per second (approximately 10TB/s). This is about 99.7 per cent of the speed of light!

Belkin Buying Linksys from Cisco (Update: Deal Completed)
Cisco seems to be moving away from the consumer market and is looking for a buyer for Linksys. Belkin's purchase of Linksys is expected to be completed in March 2013 for an as of yet undisclosed amount.
