Nikon has announced three new Coolpix cameras, including one superzoom capable of 26x optical zoom as well as a new FX lens that covers a wide focal length of 80-400mm.
Nikon has just announced the Coolpix A, a compact camera with a DX-format sensor, the same sensor size found in its entry to mid-range DSLR cameras. The Coolpix A comes with a fixed 18.5mm (28mm equivalent) f/2.8 prime lens.
Canon has developed a highly sensitive, full-frame image sensor for low-light video capture. The sensor has a 1920 x 1080 pixel array, and can see impressively into the dark.

Canon Singapore has launched four new digital compact cameras in the IXUS range - IXUS 255 HS, IXUS 140, IXUS 135 and IXUS 132.

Along with four Handycam models announced at CES 2013, Sony is also releasing the HDR-PJ230E and HDR-TD30VE. All new Handycams feature a wide-angle lens with less than 30mm focal length, enabling scenic landscapes and large groups of people to be captured in a single shot.

Sony has extended its line of Cyber-shot cameras with the new Cyber-shot WX300, HX300 and TX30 compact digital cameras.
On top of announcing the SLT-A58 and NEX-3N, Sony has introduced a host of lenses and accessories to complement the cameras.
Sony has announced the SLT-A58, Sony's latest DSLR offering and first to feature 'TRIMUMINOS Color' support, as well as the NEX-3N, the smallest and lightest interchangeable-lens camera with a large APS-C sized sensor.
Featuring a 20x zoom lens which offers a 1-second maximum speed over its entire zoom range, along with a minimum object distance of 0.9M (10mm with macro), the new lens is ideal for videographers who require superior quality in applications such as wedding and corporate videos, education films, or documentaries.
