At Build 2014, Microsoft also found some time to tease some future updates. One that's bound to please long-time Windows users is the return of the Start menu. And it comes with a twist.
At Build 2014, Microsoft has also taken some time to demo the Modern-style version of Office. But this touch-friendly Office looks to be still far away from an official release.
Less than six months after releasing Windows 8.1, the first major update for the operating system is set to arrive next week with many UI tweaks to please keyboard and mouse users.

According to Gartner, the worldwide market for tablets is expected to grow by 38.6%, with an estimated 2.7 billion units that will be shipped by the end of this year. This is due to strong demand for such devices in emerging markets, outside of North America.

Intel has officially announced the new Intel Core i7 Extreme Edition, the company’s first octa-core desktop CPU. It is slated to be available by the second half of this year.
The Intel Ready Mode technology enables the desktop PC to be always powered on with as little as 10W. This is achieved by leveraging on the C7 idle states of the 4th generation Intel Core CPU, power optimization design of the motherboard, and customized software.
