Microsoft has announced the availability of Windows 8.1 Enterprise Preview. This edition includes premium features for enterprise users that aren't found in the earlier Windows 8.1 Preview.
ASUS CEO, Jonney Shih, noted the poor reception of Windows RT products and has said that the Taiwanese tech giants will focus on Windows products with Intel chips.

Custom gaming notebook manufacturer, Aftershock PC, has launched a 14-inch notebook designed with portability in mind, the Halo, a 14-inch Full HD notebook with Advanced Hyper Viewing Angle technology and Intel's new Iris Pro Graphics 5200 GPU. The Halo is available now starting at $1615.

Intel recently announced that its new range of Y-Series fourth generation (Haswell) processors will be shipping to manufacturers later in the year. These low powered chips are said to have a 4.5W scenario design power (SDP), and will power devices such as tablets and hybrid PCs.

Chromebook shipments are expected to increase by two or even three folds in the second half of 2013. This is due to an increase in orders by current Chromebook manufacturers Lenovo, Acer, HP and Samsung, who are also said to be launching new Chromebooks.
