Ever since the Macbook Pro introduced the Retina Display, other notebooks have been struggling to match its display resolution. Google's new Chromebook Pixel redresses the balance somewhat and now the Toshiba Kirabook 2560 by 1440 brings a high resolution to the Windows Notebook product segment.

Microsoft has started selling the Surface Pro in China yesterday. In addition to the regular edition that runs Windows 8 Pro, there's a new ‘Surface Chinese’ that only supports the Chinese language, runs Windows 8 (the core version), and comes pre-installed with Microsoft Office Home and Student 2013.

Lenovo has recently announced on Twitter, that its business hybrid Ultrabook, the Lenovo ThinkPad Helix, is expected to reach US retailers in April. However, Lenovo didn't release any additional information regarding the unit's availability in other parts of the world.

Ars Technica has a chilling report on the men who spy on women through their webcams. Using a remote administration tool (RAT) which gives them access to a notebook's screen, webcam, files and microphone, hackers grab these women's images using the webcam and also steal their photos off their local drives.
