Yota may be a young player in the smartphone industry, but it is preparing to make its presence felt with more phones in the pipeline.

According to Techno Buffalo, Matthew G. Kelly, the managing director for America, shared the company's plans for two more phones in the near future. One of them will be the YotaPhone 3, which will come with a faster processor, better displays on the front and back, more RAM, a more capable camera and a thinner chassis.

The other phone is a more affordable variant of the current YotaPhone 2. Known as the YotaPhone 2c, it is currently in the works and customers' feedback inspired its development; consumers do not want some of the features found in the YotaPhone 2 and hope that the company can come up with a cheaper model.

The launch schedule for both phones are not confirmed yet and largely depends on the market reception of the YotaPhone 2.

"We have a next-generation product lined up,” Kelly told TechnoBuffalo. “We can’t sell our next generation until we sell our current one. Carriers are interested, but a lot hinges on how well the YotaPhona 2 does.”

In case you don't know, the YotaPhone 2 is available in Singapore at a rather hefty retail price of S$1,048. Yota recently introduced a new white model and delivered an over-the-air update for the phone.
