Local app Grabz woos customers with exclusive deals and VIP concierge

Grabz offers a range of dining and other lifestyle perks, including alcohol delivery services for premium customers.

Heads up, foodies. Grabz is a new app that delivers insider perks and privileges to members, with a focus on helping restaurants build a loyal customer base. According to founder Darren Neubronner, Grabz is all about providing customers with an experience that money cannot buy.

You’re probably familiar with Entertainer’s 1-for-1 deals, but Grabz is quite a different beast, despite superficial similarities. The app is free to download from both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, and basic users will still get to enjoy a limited range of perks.

However, a monthly subscription of S$15.98 will net you access to a full range of perks and rewards from lifestyle destinations in Singapore. This includes exclusive invites to events and promotions on non-F&B related things like business-class flight tickets and limited edition luxury watches.

Paying subscribers will also get to use Grabz Concierge, a personalized booking service that can help members reserve tables at clubs, get onto the guest list for exclusive parties, and get help on things like flight bookings.

Grabz also offers concierge services for flight bookings.

Familiar names like Lawry’s and 1 Altitude are already on board, and Grabz hopes to continue to grow its list of supported establishments.

Finally, Grabz also wants to give customers incentive to return to the same establishments that have served them well. While Entertainer offers just three coupons for each restaurant, Grabz continues to offer customers discounts on their total bill even after they have redeemed all the 1-for-1 deals for a particular eatery. There is no limit to how many times these discounts can be used, thus helping create a sense of exclusivity and loyalty for both restaurants and customers.

In addition, the app offers a location-based discovery service to alert users to nearby promotions. These can be redeemed on the spot – simply by asking a waiter to key in a four-digit code – and there is no need to purchase them in advance.
