The E460 (14-inch display) and E560 (15.6-inch) feature the latest Intel “Skylake” mobile processors that consists of the Intel Core i7-6500U, Core i5-6200U and Core i3-6100U. The Intel Celeron 3855U processor is only made available for the E560. Both notebooks can support up to 16GB of DDR3L of system memory. In terms of display resolution, the E460 has a 14-inch display that comes in two versions; you can opt for the version that has a maximum resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels resolutions, or the full HD option that has a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. In our opinion, it’s definitely better to opt for the full HD display as the former is commonly associated with 13.3-inch devices. The same applies for the E560 except its display real estate is larger at 15.6 inches.

There’s also the option of discrete graphics; you can opt for the AMD Radeon R5 M330 2GB or the Radeon R7 M360 2GB graphics chip. For the E560, you have an additional choice, the exclusive R7 M370 2GB graphics chip. Also exclusive to the E560 is the 720p HD RealSense 3D camera. Our first hands-on experience with the camera was with the Dell Venue 8 700 tablet. The E460 only has a front-facing 720p camera.  For I/O connectors, the E460 has three USB 3.0 ports, a HDMI connector, a 4-in-1 card reader, and an OneLink connector, which is the company’s proprietary docking technology. The E560 sports a D-Sub port, in addition to what the E460 has to offer. In terms of weight, the E460 tips the scales from 1.9kg onwards, while the E560 weighs at least a hefty 2.3kg.
