Here’s how much the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 will cost you in local stores
The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 officially launches today, and you can be sure that gamers with the dough to spare will be clamoring to get their hands on one. As we noted in our review, NVIDIA’s latest flagship puts the GeForce GTX Titan X to shame, especially considering their vastly different price points.
With that said, the GeForce GTX 1080 Founders Edition is still not a cheap card. Custom cards are not yet available, and Founders Edition cards from brands like ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI, Palit and Zotac will cost you S$1,188 from local retailers (such as PC Themes, Fuwell, Infinity Computer and more).
In comparison, the GeForce GTX Titan X used to retail for close to S$2,000, so the GeForce GTX 1080 is still quite an attractive proposition, even if the local price amounts to more than a S$200 markup over the original US$699 price tag (~S$961).
The only question now is: How badly do you want one? Or maybe, you actually want two of these babies. For an idea of the kind of performance you might expect in SLI, you can check out our preliminary benchmarks here.
