In a blog post earlier today, Microsoft has shared that Cortana in Windows 10 is also able to integrate with Office 365 for businesses.

Available in the latest Windows Insiders preview build, you can test out this initial integration if your company is opted into First Release for Office 365. Admins can control access to Cortana through a new control in the Office 365 Admin portal.

Microsoft:

Cortana gets even better when connected to Office 365. For instance, at work many of us spend significant time and energy on meetings. By integrating with Office 365, Cortana can proactively help you prepare for an upcoming meeting. Cortana brings you helpful information about the people you’re meeting with, recent documents they’ve worked on, and reminders about when and where you need to be next so you won’t be late.

According to Microsoft, the ability to integrate Cortana with Office 365 will be available in Windows 10 desktops and tablets; mobile phone integration will happen later this year (presumably when Windows 10 Mobile is finalized).

Windows 10 for PCs and tablets is set to arrive on July 29, 2015. With Cortana on the desktop, which you access through the search button in the taskbar or when you call out her name, it can be used to set reminders, add appointments, get directions, search the Internet, and more. This latest move to integrate with Office 365 reaffirms Microsoft's commitment to be a productivity and platform-focused company with products that empower both individuals and organizations.
