According to our conversation with a Gigabyte spokesman at Computex 2012, AMD is delaying the release of Trinity APUs for desktops. We feel that this delay points to a series of business decisions made by AMD to focus on the mobile computing segment.
AMD's Trinity APUs for the desktop market won't hit retail till late this year, but almost every major motherboard vendor has FM2 socket based motherboards all lined up and ready to go. Here's a quick roundup of the various Socket FM2 equipped motherboards from Computex.

It looks like AMD isn't going to sit quietly by as Intel steps up their plans to conquer the ultra-thin-and-light segment of the notebook market. AMD will be introducing what they call "Ultrathins" (a US$500 direct response to Intel's Ultrabooks) which run on AMD's Trinity processor chips.

It is rumored that AMD's Llano APUs will be in short supply due to poor yield rates of Globalfoundries' 32nm process. It is also estimated that this will persist till early 2012.
