Apple Watch Sport Space Grey Case with 14 bands
Have you ever wondered …
What the Apple Watch Sport Rose Gold looks like with a Milanese Loop? Or how about the Apple Watch Stainless Steel Black with a (Product) Red Sport Band?
Oddly enough, there’s no easy way to find out on Apple’s website, like some kind of gallery or visualizer tool. While Apple picks the band that comes with each Watch, there are a total of 29 bands you can buy on the side (28, if you subtract the option that comes with your Watch).
So how do you know which works with what? Short of using your imagination, you’ll have to try them all on … which is nuts. So we’ve done it for you. But not all of them, because trying all 29 bands with the four Watch Sport and two Watch models would have yielded 174 combinations … which would have driven us nuts.
Instead, here are three Apple Watch Sport finishes, the Space Grey, Rose and Rose Gold, matched with 14 different straps, shot and written up with our first impressions. In our next feature, we’ll have the Apple Watch Stainless Steel and Stainless Steel Black matched with the same 14 different straps. If the Apple Watch Stainless Steel is more your thing, see how it looks like in 27 different combinations here.
Apple Watch Sport Space Grey, you’re up first.

Note: Our Apple Watch Sport Space Grey's Digital Crown is red because it has a sticker from WatchDots. The standard Digital Crown on the Watch Sport Space Grey is just grey in color.
Now, our limited fashion sense made us think that the Space Grey, like black, would match with everything. Turns out that it’s not the case. It works beautifully with the Midnight Blue and Black Sport Band, but not so well with the bright colors.
This writer actually likes the Space Grey with the (Product) Red band, although I think you have to be pretty confident to pull it off. My colleagues thought it was too kiddish though.
The Watch Sport Space Grey looks okay with the Saddle Brown Classic Buckle, but the silver lugs do look mismatched.
The Midnight Blue Leather Loops looks brighter in comparison with the Midnight Blue Sport Band and doesn’t seem to pair as well.
Our favorite bands for the Watch Sport Space Grey from this selection are …
You can’t go wrong with the Midnight Blue and Black Sport Bands. If bright is your thing, try the (Product) Red match. We like the Saddle Brown Classic Buckle, but only if you don’t mind the mismatched silver lugs with the Space Grey Case.
