The major changes and shift in consumer habits and usage have prompted manufacturers like HP to actively shape their products to meet the computing demands of today. Citing how Web 2.0 applications are becoming more integrated into the activities of individuals and businesses, HP has taken active steps in designing their products to suit this new generation of users.

"Increasingly digital lifestyles and micro-segmentation of consumers and their needs will not be addressed by a single capable device with multi-functions, but by many of these multi-functional devices that an end-user will come to expect to complement their needs and usage scenarios," said See Chin Teik, senior vice president, Personal Systems Group, HP Asia Pacific and Japan.

Anticipating these shifts in usage, HP unveiled a series of innovative technologies, products and designs to meet the demands of tomorrow's consumers and businesses. The new products include mini-notebooks, laptops, all-in-one PC to regular desktop PCs.
