Sony Playstation 4 Officially Launches in Singapore
Sony's Playstation 4 console (read our full review here!) officially launched in Singapore today with Mr. Aaron Tan being the first person in line to pick up his pre-order set after queuing since 5AM this morning. For his efforts, Mr. Tan received a free PS Vita TV as well as a ten-year membership to PS Plus.
This is not the first time Mr. Tan has queued for a Sony event, having also waited in line at Sony's Playstation 3 launch back in 2007, however he was not first in line on that occasion. This time around, Mr. Tan beat everyone else by arriving at 5AM this morning before Sony officials had even set up the designated queue area. He stated that he placed his pre-order on 13th November, the first day of availability, for a PS4 with the PS Camera bundle. Mr. Tan says he will be purchasing Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag for his new PS4, but that most of the games he is looking forward to playing will only be released next year, naming Watch Dogs and Metal Gear Solid 5 among others.
According to Sony officials, Playstation 4 pre-order response was very positive (we are awaiting official numbers at this time) however, stocks will still be available for purchase at Sony stores islandwide for $639 starting today.
PS4 consoles and games are also available for the public to demo at Sony's pop up Playstation store outside Wisma Atria shopping center from today until 1st January.
