Chances are if it ain't the MacDonalds' Hello Kitty doll, luxury condominiums or an 8-million dollar Toto draw, then it's very likely (well 100% likely) the people that you may have spotted queuing outside Singtel's Comcentre building would have been waiting eagerly to get their hands on Apple's latest wonder gadget.

The early bird crowd had grown by the time we arrived at the SingTel Comcentre building. Though decent, it didn't quite prepare us for the crowd that would start building up much later...

The first four persons in Singapore to officially get an iPhone 3G (and not via "imports").

The back area wasn't as crowded as we would have expected, seeing as how we were expecting hordes of devotees queuing up.

We blinked and like magic, the area mysteriously filled up. Did SingTel hire Criss Angel too for the launch?

The queue at the back was constantly growing...and growing...and growing. It's Hello Kitties Time!

So what was the atmosphere like at ground-zero just minutes before the launch? The Hardware Zone editorial crew was all prepared to cover the event, including video footage, so check it out now:-
