Samsung's Big Bash - The 3D Eagle has Landed

Notebooks & Netbooks

Of Notebooks and Netbooks

Samsung mentioned during its presentation that there was great potential in the mobile computing market, so this is definitely one segment that they are looking into. We've seen most of the notebooks earlier on at CES 2010, but here's another look at the machines that we didn't have time to cover the first time around.

Over at the Mobile PC booth, Samsung awaits to show us its latest additions to its notebook segment.

First on our list is its latest netbook for businesses, the 10.1-inch Samsung NB30. If you think it looks tough on the outside, you're right. You're looking at the shock and scratch resistant casing, but what seals the deal is the S pattern made from embossed rubber to do away with those dreaded fingerprint smudges.

On the inside, the Samsung NB30 features the usual Intel Atom N450 while also sporting a HDD sensor that parks the hard drive heads in the event of a drop and has an anti-reflective 10.1-inch LED display. Feature fit for serious business users.

Jazz up your mobile lifestyle with the 10.1-inch Samsung N210 netbook, which features up to 12 hours of usage time and sports a pretty crystal pattern design that should attract the eyes of everyone in the vicinity.

But enough of netbooks, let's take a look at the more powerful 15.6-inch Samsung R580 multi-media notebook which in its most powerful configuration, will sport an Intel Core i7-620M (2.66GHz) 4GB DDR3 RAM, 640GB HDD and an NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M for its graphics.
