Samsung Embraces Digital Imaging in Full Force

It was the very first Digital Imaging Roadshow by consumer electronics mavens Samsung and they used it to outline new plans as well as products that will help to extend their leadership in the industry. Using digital imaging segment as a major revenue driving force for the company's growth plans, Samsung has prepped themselves by introduced a slew of 11 products ranging from compact cameras, a new digital SLR and an upgrade to last year's HMX-10 camcorder. Held at the Shangri La hotel, the event kicked off with a short press conference where Mr. Yoon Ki Heung, Managing Director for Samsung Asia, announced the company's new plans and product lineup. Here's what we encountered at the event:-

A familiar face at events, Angela May played host for the evening, guiding us through the various themed rooms. Here she highlights the GX20 DSLR that will be available in the second half of 2008.

Comparing the NV24 HD to the NV20, this lovely model demonstrated the benefits of having a 24mm wide lens over a 34mm one.

Never short on theatrics, the new HMX-20C camcorder's full HD performance was demonstrated with this 'mini' rock concert
